Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I bring a guest?

    • Each student is allowed to bring ONE guest. Guest tickets cost $125 per ticket, payable in Room 318 or through your parent/guardian Operoo account.
    • Guests from outside of John Adams High School are welcome to attend, but ALL guests must complete the Guest Contract. Guests must also provide a photo ID when purchasing their ticket, which is subject to security check.

    • Guests must between the ages of 16-20.

  2. Can I leave and re-enter the Prom?

    • You may not re-enter the Prom once you leave. This includes going to the car, limo, etc.
  3. Is transportation to and from Prom provided by the school?

    • Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from Prom.
  4. I noticed that Prom is on a Wednesday. Is there school the next day?

    • Schools are closed to students on Thursday, June 3rd.
  5. May I bring outside food or drink to Prom?

    • No outside food or drink is permitted at Prom. A sit-down dinner and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.
  6. Can I take pictures at Prom?

    • You may absolutely take pictures at Prom! However, no photos may be posted or shared without the consent of ALL people photographed.
    • There will also be a no-fee photo booth with props where you may print out photo strips to commemorate the evening.

  7. Where is the After Party?

    • Prom ends at midnight. John Adams High School does not promote an After Party. Students are responsible for transportation home at the conclusion of Prom.
  8. Can I be removed from Prom?

    • ALL students and guests are expected to act in accordance with ALL rules and regulations highlighted in your Prom Contract. Fighting, smoking and related paraphernalia, drugs, and alcohol are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal from the Prom and additional action.
    • Anyone who is suspended at the time of Prom will be prohibited from attending.

    • You will not receive a refund if you are removed from Prom.
